It is the only structure that is preserved of the large estate of the Romanov Boyars, where according to the legend, Mikhail Fedorovich was born. He was the first tsar of the Romanov dynasty. In the middle of the ХIХ century in the building of the Chambers one of the first Moscow museums was inaugurated upon the the order of emperor Alexander – House of the Romanov Boyars.

At present all the rooms of the chambers are decorated in typical style of a rich boyar house. Here you can see recreated historic interiors, both living quarters and service zones, every day and personal items of the time, tiled stoves, embossed leather, chests, old books, fabrics and so on.

Visiting the museum with a guide in English will become a true discovery for both adults and children. To begin with, it is really impressive to know that this very house was the house where the first tsar of Romanov dynasty was born.
